My Amigurumi Adventure 🧸

Hi! My name is Domitilla, when I was pregnant with my first child I had to lay on the sofa for months and after a couple weeks of Netflix I got bored. That’s when I discovered a whole new world: the world of crochet and amigurumi 🧶
I started to follow online courses, bought lots of books of patterns to follow and after a few months I decided that this was going to be my full-time job. At the beginning it can seem impossible but if you learn to make a few stitches and practice you can easily start to make super cute dolls and toys, together with home decorations and, why not, hats and personal accessories!

All you need to do is try and practice, practice, practice.

I decided to start writing this blog because the amigurumi passion is growing more every day. Also here in Italy, where people used to think that crochet was for grandmas who made blankets and old sweaters. Now young girls and boys want to learn how to make their own toys and dolls. And I can’t stop thinking that if I had discovered this art when I was a teenager I would have found my way sooner 🤨

After years of research I found the right factory and started to produce my very own yarn brand, which includes: Domigurumi Sport (a super soft 4 ply cotton that comes in about 30 shades), DK (8 ply cotton), Sweetie (50% cotton-50% acrylic) and Velvet (thick chenille yarn).
